ISP Change-Over Complete!

The transition to an ISP that provides .NET 3.5 functionality is complete. The media section now has some test videos and audio in there. These are of much higher quality than before (the old gazzbass). I would like to know if any visitors are having trouble streaming these videos. This is an essential test, since my ISP is based in California and there may be issues with European visitors being able to stream higher quality video content. Anyway, you can use my Info/Contact page to notify me of any issues. Thanks!

New Website Nearly Finished!

The public section of the website is nearly complete and I have secured a .NET 3.5 ISP! Over the coming weekend I will be switching over to this new site. I have also started work on a new Members section, which will include access to a plethora of goodies. You can check out what will be available by clicking on this news item.

MultiMedia, Lessons and Columns Completed!

Finished work on the MultiMedia section of the website Silverlight application. This section is now a full media center, streaming video, audio and images on demand through an asynchronous web client. Also, I have wrapped up the framework for the "Columns" and "Lessons" section. Things are coming along nicely!

Progress Report

Started work on introducting an RSS feed to the website, which anyone can subscribe to for free. Also began coding the DAL (data access layer) and laying out my database and XML structure classes for the site. This is a large project so it will take some time. Stay tuned!

New-Look GAZZBASS.COM

Since I'm a software engineer by profession, I thought I'd put my knowledge to use and leverage the Microsoft .NET framework. Now, Gazzbass.com is done completely in Silverlight (which is a sub-set of Windows Presentation Foundataion for the web). My language of choice is C# (in keeping with the musical theme!!!) using WCF and SQL Server through ASP.NET. This should allow me to deliver rich content to the website and allow for more user interaction!
