This one is a favourite of Victor Wooten and, in his more recent playing (after 1987), Mark King.
It involves very little work with the thumb, but in the places the thumb is used, it causes crucial accenting to the technique. This ensures the consistency of the sound (i.e. still making it sound like slap bass). It usually involved 3 or 4 strings and is designed to act as a descending run. To demonstrate this technique, I like to use Mark King's approach.

Watch the video and read the tab to the right. You will see a slapped D-String 7th Fret hammer on to 9th Fret, a popped G-String 7th Fret, THEN a slapped D-String 7th Fret hammer on to 8th Fret, pull-off to 7th Fret, hammer on to A-String 10th Fret, pull-off AND slap A-String 7th Fret.
The result is a nice soundingdescending - style flow which sounds like slap in its entirety. With this technique, you really have to start off slowly if you haven't attempted it before. It is very useful to play in the middle of a solo or as a transition of mood in a song. It too can be played anywhere on the bass that makes musical sense. Experimentation will confirm its effectiveness!
